About
Research that ends in a recommendation nobody executes is not worth buying.
Applied Field Solutions LLC combines market intelligence with the commercial work that follows it: the calls, the meetings, the trials, the shows, and the documentation.
How we work
Applied Field Solutions is a small practice, deliberately. Engagements are led by the principal rather than staffed out to a team, which limits how many clients can be taken on at once and keeps the person who wrote the plan in the room when it is executed.
Work is written down. Assessments state their sources and their assumptions, including where an assumption is weak. Processes are documented so your team can run them without AFS. The intended end of every engagement is a market position your own people can operate.
Operating principles
Say what the data supports
Where a number is an estimate, it is labelled as one, with the method shown. Where the answer is that the market is not worth entering, that is the answer given.
Execute, do not only advise
The same person who maps the market makes the calls, attends the meetings, works the stand, and writes the follow-up.
Work in your name
Client-facing execution is carried out as part of your commercial team, with your pricing and your approvals.
Build for handover
Documentation, CRM structure, and process are built so a permanent hire inherits something working rather than a slide deck.
Limit the client list
AFS does not take competing clients in the same segment and territory at the same time.
Who you'll work with
Stewart M. Bell, M.S.
Founder and Principal
Stewart helps manufacturers and technical product companies build practical paths into new markets. His work combines market research, target and channel mapping, technical sales, product positioning, and hands-on execution. With particular depth in agricultural and industrial equipment, he translates complex products into clear commercial strategies and supports clients from initial assessment through customer adoption.
What AFS does not do
AFS does not provide legal, tax, customs, or regulatory certification services, and does not act as an importer of record. Where an engagement raises those questions, they are identified in writing and referred to qualified specialists. AFS is not an investment adviser and does not raise capital.
Background
Stewart's experience spans applications engineering, technical sales, and market development. He has helped international manufacturers expand in North America, develop OEM and distributor relationships, launch technical products, and create the customer-support systems needed to sustain growth.
His work includes market and account mapping, channel strategy, trade-show planning, product integration, training, technical documentation, and field support. Although agriculture and industrial equipment are his strongest sectors, the underlying approach applies broadly to companies selling physical products: understand the market, identify the right buyers and partners, remove technical barriers, and build a repeatable route to revenue.
Stewart holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Clemson University. His graduate research in automated agricultural systems provides a practical engineering and analytical foundation for his commercial work.
